Nothing much to blog about these days.

Just finished my geriatrics posting at TTSH. Thoughts regarding geriatrics...hmmm... It's a rather depressing specialty to go into i guess. Everyone of the patients are extremely sick and most have some form of infecion at any one time. This really brings up something someone said. Can't remember who though...that life is merely but a chronic disease.

We are all going downhill the moment we are born. We grow up, study hard for academic achievements and work hard for financial stability. All will come to nought when one fine day you get a stroke, discover you have some weird disease or simply just grow old and frail. Which brings me to the point ... in my opinion ageing is definitely a disease!!!!! (contrary to what all geriatricians believe)

Ageing might not be a disease per se but all those dingdongbrickbats that comes along with ageing (like marrying a divorcee and having to love her freaking kids from her past life) will kill you many times over. Poor vision, decrease mental capacity, increase propensity for infections, falling easily....etcetc the list is endless. We are all going to die one day. It's sad seeing them suffer when there's nothing much we can do to help them. It's a reflection of what is to come one day.

So, i went onto Ares to try to download this song by pulp - help the aged. I loved its tune a few years back. Apparently pulp won some mercury award for this song. No movies to download these days.....
