Shout outs to Christina. Take care and take things easy!

Just found out that the rabbit that my sister rears has scabies. Damn fucking sian man. Told her to cull the rabbit many times before, at least then we have rabbit stew and a lucky rabbit foot to hang around our necks. Now if we consider that, we might get GIT scabies. Feeling puritic all over and having the illusions that burrows are forming under my skin. Thinking of heading down to SGH to get some malathion wash and shampoo but i'm on leave tomorrow so that i can take IPPT on wednesday. Chao CB rabbit.

My mom thinks i'm bullshitting and pulling a fast one on her for saying that scabies is contagious. Now my teddybears are feeling itchy too. Think they have contracted scabies. Oh my poor teddies and xiaogou. Time to go bathe them. Chao CB rabbit.

Updates on Korea Trip next time after i murder the rabbit.

This chinese new year has been the pits. Working almost everyday and being on call on the second day really takes the fucking cake. Moreover the call wasn't as slack as it was supposed to be. Why can't these people just fucking stay at home? Fell down - come back on thurs, broke wrist - come back on fri, broke wtf-bone - come back on sat!!!

But it's been fun hanging out with the orthopods. I think the consultant's attitudes are rubbing on us HOs, we are becoming mushy brained. All we think about is lunch and drinks after work.(which by the way should be what we think about everyday anyway- saving lives is just along the way)

Had a great friday night with Jin & Ame, CCH aka gay boi, RR, skywalker and J. It was drinks at brewerkz, drinks at Prince of Wales and more drinks at Haciendas! Can't remember a time in the recent past that i drank so much, as well as enjoyed myself. Sad life.

A Scanner Darkly. A+
WTF man. This movie fucking rocked my socks off. No spoilers. Just go fucking beg, borrow, steal, buy pirated versions, rent, download this movie!!!!!!

Just My Luck and Nacho Libre. F-
2 fucking garbage movies.

Sunday working again. Sibei sian..

Went to TTSH again after work to try to help out, think it might become a ritual hurhurhur.
Went with dear to Chuumeez for lunch. It has a dim sum buffet on weekends! It's bloody fantastic to boot. There's panfried deer meat, salmon sashimi, sweet and sour soup and the regular suspects for dim sum just to name a few! Stuffed our faces until we almost exploded..hehehe. The congee was nice and thick too. Dear said its "delicate" food... hmmm. Moreover Chuumeez is owned by the mom of one of dear's friend! Maybe there's free discount card! hehe. Should have taken photos of the food though.

Caught Pan's Labyrinth at cineleisure afterwards.
*SPOILER ALERT*
B+ show. Especially liked how they intertwined the fantasy world of Opheila with the death and violence of reality. Escapism at it's best. The final scene where she dies contented as she finds her way "home" was touching and sad at the same time. Definitely one of Guillemo Del Toro's greatest films. Can't wait for Hellboy 2.

Dear and XH went for pedicure later. And here i will go into my usual tirade that pedicures are perilous and a bloody waste of money. This bitch slashed dear while trying to remove a callus.. i think her Hb level drop 1g/dl with the amount of blood loss. Must eat Sangobion for 2 months...

Quote of the month : "Let's go to church together to learn more about the missionary position baby!"

Ortho posting has been rather refreshing in a sense that we roam freely in the lushcious plains, rolling in the fresh green grass and doing whatever nonsense we deem fit at any particular point of time. Auto-pilot.

However, still can't fight the feeling, the nostalgia of TTSH GS. I don't mean the work though, LOLz. It was really nice to meet up with the people again, albeit only briefly for lunch. Nice to see everyone still alive but hating their current postings! Hurhurhur.

MOPEX is coming. I still have no idea what to do. Everyone around me seems hell-bent on doing some particular posting while i'm still just a lost sheep. Mreh mreh meh meh! Should i do CGH ortho? or just go for SGH Med? or maybe back to TTSH GS. At least i've narrowed it down to these 3 main groups....where are the readers going????

It's the new year again. Many changes will happen in 2007.
Looking back on the last 4 months, i actually enjoyed my GS posting in TTSH quite a fair bit. The senior doctors were generally very nice and i am very fortunate to have been together with a great bunch of HOs. You guys rock ass! The 11c nurses were all extremely helpful to us too, esp to a certain someone..hehehe.

We managed to squeeze many outings during the last few hectic days of the posting to boot. Brauhouse for beer n pork knuckle courtesy of Reg A, Villa bali for more drinks and MOS for even more alcohol. Capped it off on the last day with Genki sushi (without the sake), too bad it was only with the handful who came back to work on the PH. Took many photos too!! Shall ask my sister to upload them for me soon...i'm too bloody lazy..

Heading back to SGH tomorrow after 4 months away. Wonder if i still would be familiar with the system. At least i'll be working with K, exactly like the very first day of HOship.

Will miss all the GS HOs, hope we can still find time to meet up regularly! (also the nurses...hurhur)

Oh man, it's been a few hectic days! Extremely enjoyable though!
Ok first things first....NEVER try to meet a kid through online channels if you are a paedophile now that the movie "Hard Candy" is out in stores on VCD/DVD.

Hard Candy. A-
I have been searching for this title for quite a while after i missed it's screening in the cinemas. Glad it did not disappoint. The premise already had so much promise and the movie delivered that and then some. I particularly liked the way the director played the audience into sympathizing with the paedophile all the way up till the end where he brings the whole plot crashing down. Ellen Page was amazing in her protrayal as Hayley the psycho-bitch teenager who goes around castrating people's balls. -.- I also wonder if castration is really that easy such that it could be done on a dinner table with no anaesthesia.....

Was supposed to go clubbing/do something happening with Gab on Wednesday. So Gab picked me up and we drove to eat first. Subsequently, we headed for Boat Quay with the inital idea to go to MOS. Admiring all the "youthful energy" along the way, Gab decided to head back to the East for some clubbing with friends...so we walked a short way back to the car. Then WTF...the car just wouldn't start. Turns out the battery was dead. Had to call the serviceman who charged the battery. That took like 2.5hrs which totally destroyed the night. Ended up walking from Tampines to Pasir Ris (around 40mins only!!) as Gab had to park the car at his friend's house. (car wasnt his) Had an enjoyable night then just slacking at Gab's place drinking and chatting.

The bummer part was being on-call on friday. My call luck sucks. Worst passive call ever. Even worse than the Sunday which i had to set 21 plugs simply because this call was bad 5pm to 7am the next day. Post call was fun though. Went shopping for Baby's stuff, attended SN Suling's baby shower, went for a musical at M's church, supper and HK cafe with M,MY,D,J, came home and played xbox till late... didn't sleep for 42hrs...man..i almost went crazy...hurhur

Been trying to meet up with people during the leave but so far only met up with S. Hopefully can meet up with Gab, K and P tom.
OKIE....it's time for minimana's daily movie review..hurhur..Today is chicklit and kiddie day!

Devil wears prada. B+
The tale of a naive country girl in big city of New york trying to carve her niche in the whole of journalism but instead ends up in as a ...fashion magazine editor's assistant?I particularly liked the scene where Andy gets to change into many fabulous looking suits/dresses while walking through New York traffic. Wish i could visit New York one day...deardear lets go New York! hurhur. Anyway i thought Meryl Streep was wonderously devilish in her role as the icy editor. The sacarsm, the piercing stares and aloof mannerisms are all engraved on her face. Excellent performance! This movie for all the girls out there! Go watch it. Alas, there were obviously too many product placements in the movie.. but what great outfits!

- Fav quote : "You sold your soul to the devil when you put on your first pair of Jimmy Choo's!"

Cars. B+
I thought Cars was just another weaving of the same old familiar tale of friendship and family except with machines. Was pleasantly surprised to be proven wrong. It's also the first time i believe that cars are personified with eyes on the windscreen. Usually the eyes are the headlights right? Very interesting i must say...except that was just wondering where their wipers were. Hurhurhur. Everything was so well done, the details...it brought viewers into a world populated by cute little itsy bitsy cars. I still don't get Nascar racing though, i mean whats so great about cars zipping round a circular track for like.....what?? 300 laps?? Duh. I rather watch the paint peel.

- Fav quote: "Jesus-Chrysler!" --> hurhur was laughing really hard at this... -.- hurhur

Over the hedge. B+
Another as above. Story of friendship, family, morals, life choices...etcetc. Nice animations, the little critters looked really cute. Only thing i think they should have done in another way was to ...make the bear cuter! Bears are cute. Period.
I love lazing around at home!!!Counting down the days to going back to work...on call on the first day of work to boot. Sighh....
